Hello, I was born and raised in the Sunshine state.  My start on life began a little rocky. However, I decided to roll right through and have been rolling ever since. My name is Sara Brothers. Better known by many throughout my school years as Sara B. My disability is Cerebral Palsy, which means I cannot talk, walk, feed myself or dress myself. But that is alright. I can do just about anything else I want.

In the past, I have worked as a mentor and teacher of Augmentative Devices at Quest North, a sheltered workshop in Apopka, Florida. Also, I have worked for Pennsylvania State University via the Internet.

They selected me to be an Ambassador for the Prentke Romich Company based in Ohio and attend conferences and conventions giving speeches. I started young speaking in public, so I was, and still am very comfortable with it. I also, enjoy the travel involved and have spoken in places such as Richmond, Virginia, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Birmingham, Alabama, and, of course, all over the Orlando, Tampa and St. Petersburg areas of Florida.

My experience includes participating on many different boards of directors. Such as, the Orange County School Board in Orlando, Florida and the International Panel of Blissymbol Users.

After graduation in 1989, I continued to use Sara B, with a little dancing bee, as my logo for my business cards. I started my own small business of Handmade Wreathes and Crafts and Desktop Printing (flyers, Christmas letters, banners etc.). It took three summers to save to get my first IBM Computer.

I have been coordinator for a monthly social club for users of Augmentative Devices. A couple of secretarial positions have come along on my journey.

I graduated from high school with what they called a Special Diploma.  In 2013, I received my G. E, D.  It is 2018, I continued my education and went for three certificates. Graphic Design Support Certificate and Graphic Design Production Technical Certificate. Digital and Interactive Design (Check my portfolio)

I am currently involved in several councils. Family Care Council, and Florida Sands.

I just recently started my final business.  It is my final business because I know that I can do it almost by myself.  My business name is Sara Bees Business & Graphic Designs.  My services are personal assistant and Desktop Printing. Yes, the same dancing bee is in my logo, today.

Over the years, I have had a couple of dogs, cats, horses, goats, a lot of pigs, oh, and don’t forget the 400 chickens which turned out to be 400 baby roosters. So, as you can see my love for animals is very important to me.

When I got my golden retriever, I knew what I wanted to do with him. So, I got involved with A. B. S. Service Dogs on training my own service dog, Topaz.
